Once a tree falls it doesn't necessarily mean the end of its usefulness. Recycling is a natural process in this case, OK, so we kind of select the purpose here in an artistic way. Some of the planters here can only be one of a kind because of the individual piece of wood or the rarity of that special piece. Sometimes a unique rock or boulder is found that looks like it would be a good host for a thriving plant. This would also be a case where that item is one-of-a-kind so keep that in mind. You may have some potential hosts lying around your house. Hopefully this will provide you inspiration to give that certain item a new purpose.
A New Tale
Made of Cedar tailing that was unacceptable for its initial use, this long lasting planter will provide this cactus a home for years to come. Click on the image for a larger view of it.
Knotty
This unique piece was an offset center cut that the core fell out of. It too found a new place in supporting a life in this universe. Click on the image for a larger view of it.
Drifting On
Driftwood can provide beauty for years to come. It's sometimes made through tragedy of flooding or erosion caused by clear cutting vast acreage of forests, but to forget is unforgivable.
Pod Planting
This unique planter is made from the seed pod of a rare tree only found in Guatemala (to my knowledge) at the Frutas del Mundo farm.
Bamboo Beginnings
Many bamboo planters are available in varying sizes and shapes.
Multiplicity
For limited spaces this planter can be used stationary or hanging to display plants or herbs for your visual pleasure.
