Horseback Riding

If you do not have a lot of energy but would like to see some amazing sights, let me recommend a horseback riding tour with Raul. Raul is the leadman for a 500 acre forest reforestation project here in Rio Dulce.

His tours last approximately two and a half hours and climb up a hill where you will stop and walk into some rainforest canopy and walk across a suspension bridge up in the trees. From there you will continue on up to a tower where you can see Belize, Honduras and about 10 miles of Lago Izabal. Continuing on he will explain and show you how the rubber plantation here helps sustain this project. For the grand finale of this tour you will stop at a nice private, springfed pond to cool off and relax before your return.

Advance notice and deposit is required for this tour and the number of horses are limited so please contact us early for this tour.

This can be reached by either boat or land via the road access to Tijax.
